Asmodus Minikin Pod Coils

These are the replacement coils for the Asmodus Minikin 50W Pod Kit – a mesh coil pod system that handles both RDL and MTL vaping depending on which resistance you fit. The coils come in two options: a 0.3ohm mesh coil for restricted direct lung vaping at 40-45W with high-VG or freebase e-liquids, and a 0.8ohm mesh coil for mouth-to-lung vaping at 12-16W with 50/50 or nic salt e-liquids.

Each pack contains 3 coils and they install with a simple press-fit – no tools, no threading. Also referred to as Minikin Pod System coils, Minikin AIO pod coils, and Asmodus Minikin coils.

0.3ohm Mesh Coil – RDL Vaping

The 0.3ohm coil is the sub-ohm option in the Minikin range. It runs at 40-45W and delivers a warm, open draw with plenty of vapour – the kind of vape you would expect from a restricted direct lung setup. It works best with high-VG shortfill e-liquids or freebase 3mg liquids where the higher wattage and airflow suit the thicker consistency of a VG-dominant mix. If you are coming from a sub-ohm tank setup and want something more compact without giving up the cloud and warmth, this is the coil for you.

0.8ohm Mesh Coil – MTL Vaping

The 0.8ohm coil is built for a tighter, more restricted draw at 12-16W – the MTL experience the Minikin was also designed to cover. At this wattage range the vapour is cooler, the draw is tighter, and the focus shifts to flavour rather than cloud. It works well with 50/50 e-liquids and nicotine salt blends, both of which wick reliably through a mesh coil at this wattage. If you are using the Minikin as your everyday MTL device or transitioning from a pod kit that uses prefilled pods, this is the coil to fit.

Press-Fit Installation and Priming

Both Minikin coils use a press-fit design, meaning you push the coil into the pod base until it clicks into place rather than screwing it in. Before you vape on a fresh coil, add e-liquid to the pod, fit the coil, and leave it to sit for a few minutes so the wick can saturate fully. This is especially important with the 0.3ohm coil at higher wattages – a dry hit on a fresh unprimed coil will burn the cotton and shorten the coil’s life significantly. Once primed, fire at a lower wattage first and build up to your preferred setting over the first few puffs.
