VOOPOO ITO Coils

VOOPOO ITO replacement coils are sold in packs of five and are designed for use with the ITO pod and ITO-X pod, which are found in devices including the VOOPOO Drag Q, Doric 20, Doric E and Argus P1. The ITO coil range covers four resistances, from a 0.5 Ohm option suited to a restricted direct-lung draw down to a 1.2 Ohm option for a tight mouth-to-lung vape.

All four variants use a mesh heating element and press-fit installation, so replacement takes seconds and does not require screwing or threading. The range is built around MTL vaping at lower wattages, making it a strong choice for vapers using nicotine salts or higher-PG e-liquids who want good flavour without high power consumption.

Four Resistances Across the ITO Range

The ITO coil range spans four resistance options, each designed for a different draw style and wattage range. The full breakdown is as follows:

• ITO-M0 0.5 Ohm: Rated 18 to 25W. Suited to a restricted direct-to-lung (RDL) draw with more open airflow. Produces more vapour than the MTL options and works well with high-VG or 70/30 e-liquids. The loosest draw in the range.
• ITO-M1 0.7 Ohm: Rated 14 to 18W. Sits between the 0.5 Ohm RDL option and the tighter MTL coils. Suits vapers who prefer a slightly restricted draw without the fully open feel of the 0.5 Ohm. Versatile across 50/50 and higher-PG e-liquids.
• ITO-M2 1.0 Ohm: Rated 10 to 14W. Designed for MTL vaping with a moderately open draw. Works best at around 12W and performs well with 50/50 e-liquids and nicotine salts up to 20mg. A good all-round MTL option for everyday use.
• ITO-M3 1.2 Ohm: Rated 8 to 12W. The tightest draw in the range, replicating a close-to-cigarette inhale. Runs at its best around 10W and is best paired with higher-PG e-liquids and nicotine salts in the 10 to 20mg range.

Mesh Heating Element

Every coil in the ITO range uses a mesh heating element rather than a standard wire coil. Mesh covers a larger surface area, which heats more e-liquid at once and produces flavour more evenly across the wick. The result is a cleaner, more consistent taste from the first pull, with less variation across the life of the coil. Mesh also tends to heat up faster than a round-wire equivalent at the same wattage.

Press-Fit Installation

ITO coils are fitted by pressing them directly into the base of the ITO or ITO-X pod. There is no threading and no screwing. The coil clicks into place and is removed by pressing it out from the other side. This makes coil changes quicker and cleaner than with a traditional tank setup. The pod does not need to be emptied before changing the coil, though keeping the juice level above a third helps to avoid a dry hit during the transition.

Compatible Devices and Pods

ITO replacement coils are compatible with two pod types: the standard VOOPOO ITO pod and the VOOPOO ITO-X pod. The ITO pod is used with the Doric 20 and Doric E; the ITO-X pod is used with the Drag Q and Doric Q. Both pods use the same coil fitting, so a single pack of ITO coils covers the full list of compatible devices. They are also confirmed to work with the VOOPOO Argus P1. If you are unsure which pod your device takes, the device name and pod type are printed on the original packaging.

Recommended E-Liquids

The 1.0 Ohm and 1.2 Ohm MTL coils are best used with 50/50 (PG/VG) e-liquids and nicotine salts. Higher-PG e-liquids wick efficiently through these coils at low wattages and deliver a clean throat hit. The 0.7 Ohm coil accepts both 50/50 and higher-VG blends. The 0.5 Ohm RDL option requires a higher-VG e-liquid, ideally 60% VG or above, to wick properly at the higher wattages it runs at. Using a thick, high-VG shortfill in a 1.0 Ohm or 1.2 Ohm coil will result in slow wicking and a dry, burnt taste regardless of how well the coil is primed.

Priming and Getting Started

Before first use, fit the new coil into the pod, fill the pod with e-liquid, and leave it to sit for at least five minutes before vaping. This allows the wick to fully saturate and avoids a dry hit on the first draw. Once primed, start at the lower end of the coil’s wattage range and increase from there to find the output that suits your preferred draw. Coil life varies depending on the e-liquid used, wattage setting and frequency of use, but most vapers get several days from each coil under normal conditions.
